We want to bring man and nature together in harmony.

We have the maximum possible distinction of five sheets of the CST certificate (Certification for Tourism Sustainability), which is subject to strict conditions. These include, for example, active environmental protection, waste recycling and consideration of regional organic products. An expression of our efforts with ecological management are also solar panels and our own water reprocessing plants.

In our Eco-Lodge you can relax enjoying peace of mind. The Swiss owners and the Costa Rican administration of the hotel not only work to develop this hotel company, but also have a genuine commitment to support with a percentage of the income for accommodation, education and conservation projects in Costa Rica (www.edunamica.org, www.edunamica.cr, www.ecovida.ch).

The owners of the Lagarta Lodge promote the art and culture of indigenous communities such as the Chorotegas and Maleku. A very special collection of Maleku art is displayed in different spaces of the hotel. To experience the popular culture of the Nicoya Peninsula, attend marimba and folk dance performances. Let yourself be enchanted by the frequent presentations of music and dance groups.
